PRINCIPAL Ir' , -asv? MR. BIRDS ELL The faculty of Waverly High School has worked hard to offer a school year to you that will be valuable in your preparation for the years ahead. The success of any schoolmust bear a direct relationship to the co-operation that exists between its student body and its faculty. In these days of added emphasis in such fields as science and mathematics, it is good that other curricular and co-cur- ricular areas have been evaluated and then continued to move on toward higher goals. As a personal message from me to the 1958-1959 Waverly High School student body, I would hope that faith, happiness, and suc- cess may be realized in each of your lives in the years to come. SUPERINTENDENT We do not come into this world knowing how to co-operate, how to meet and adjust to difficult situations and how to reach just decisions so that others may not be hurt. Neither are we automatically prepared to assume the responsibilities that are ours as we grow into adult living. However, your school has done all within its power to help you grow in know- ledge and ability that you might do well with these problems. It has joined forces with your parents and church in providing the best in training. Its association with you is over, but the interest in your future con- tinues, and the wish of everyone is that each member of the Class of i959 will have a memorable life of success and service. 4 MR. JENSEN
