Anderson, a member of the Waverly High School faculty for the past fourteen years, has contributed much to our school and community. Mr. Anderson, reared in a family of ninechildren, was graduated from Chariton High School. During his high school years he was active in many organizations such as National Honor Society and Quill and Scroll. He also was captain of the football team. Advancing in education, Mr. Anderson enrolled in Simpson College at Indianola, Iowa, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in physics with minors in mathematics, En- glish and physical education. In tmdergraduate school he participated in football, was a member of Theta Kappa Nu fraternity, and was alaboratory assistant in physics. Mr. Anderson holds a Master of Arts degree from the State University of Iowa in the field of education. He is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, an honorary education fraternityg past president of the Waverly Education Associa- tiong served two terms as a delegate of the Waverly High School on the Bremer County Council of Educationg and served for two years as Bremer County Legislative chairman. His teaching experience prior to coming to Waverly includes two years at Tabor, Iowag three years at Nevada, lowag and three years as an instructor of radio at the Air Force Radio School in Scott Field, Illinois. In 1945 Mr. Anderson came to Waverly as an assistant coach and instructor of higher mathe- matics and radio. Currently he is teaching higher mathematics and general science. Also, he is one of the sophomore class sponsors and officialtimer for all home football and basketball games. Mr. Anderson was instrumental in the formation of the Hawk's Hangout, which serves as a student youth center for the community. He is an active member of the First Methodist Church and has served as president of the Pioneers, a group of married couples. To you, Mr. Glenn L.
