Freshmen were everywhere, flooding the halls and overflowing into the Senior class rooms. The upper classmen wisely refrained from making insulting remarks, for we were one hundred and two in number. Wfe started out to make and break all records, and we started successfully as we were the largest class ever enrolled in VVaverly High. At the beginning of the second semester we elected Dora Heath, Presidentg Orlo Hursh, Vice-President: Edna Hutchinson, Secretary. and Carl Hagemann, Treasurer. Mr. Franck consented to be our Class Adviser. while gave two successful parties, and participated in all activ- ities. We came back in '21 only eighty-six strong but still holding our record as the largest class. The words biggest and best seemed closely related and as we were the biggest we decided to make others see we were the best. tOf course there was no doubt in our minds as to the absolute truth of this.J XVe elected Donald Wfoodruff, President: Petronilla Cavanagh, Vice-President: Dorothy Dettmer. Secretary: Theodore Hankner, Treasurer, and llliss Ethel Shannon, Class Adviser. Boys' and Girls' Glee Clubs were made up largely of Sophomores, and we were represented in all other activities. XVe chose purple and white for our class colorsg the purple signifying our loyalty and the white our fairness. VVe had one party and one picnic, both of which bespoke our ability as entertainers. ln our third year we elected Orlo Hursh, President: Marie Hen- nings, Vice-President: Kenneth Stufflebeam. Secretary: VVinifred Lynes, Treasurer, and Miss Florence Dix, Class Adviser. Football claimed five of our members: Girls' Basketball sixg Boys' Basketball two: and we still held the lead in other activities. The crowning event of the year was the -lunior-Senior banquet, which was given in the Guild Hall. The beautiful decorations of scarlet and white paper intermingled with the rose, the flower of the Senior Class, were pronounced most artistic. Marie Hennings made an admirable toastmistress. By the fall of '23 we had lost many members, so when we took the count we were only sixty-three in number. Miss Dix was unanimously requested to remain our Class Adviser and we elected Carl Hagemann, Presidentg Gladys Stieger, Vice-President: Irene Wfendt. Secretary: and Marion Knott, Treasurer. NVith our usual quickness of decision we chose class rings in two meetings. tVVe pride ourselves on this fact because we bettered the class of '23 in this particular instance.J VVe were repre- sented in all organizations and athletics, but stood out especially in Debate. And now that the memorable event of our leaving has passed we

Don't ask so many questions: people may think you don't know the answers. 2 Copy the dignified, experienced smile of the Seniors, and discard that broad, innocent smile, and dumb look. Z! Boys, wear your long pants at home five or six times before wearing them to school, they distinguish you too easily. -l Copy the Seniors in every way possible-if you do, maybe some- one might think you are one. Section II-Bequests to the Faculty 1-We, the Seniors, will Mr. Clevenger a perfect school, no gum chewers or snow ball throwers, and a faculty that scorns diamonds 2-VVe, the Seniors, will our ability to cuss when peeved to Mr. Higgins.
