W. H. S. Faculty I. We Seniors are leaving Waverly High with regretg The members of the faculty we shall never forget. We will always remember Mr. Clevenger's smiles, Our friend and our guide in all of our trials. Mrs. Lennen is principal-what more shall we say, Except that we like her a bit more every day? II. Miss Clark shows the girls how to cook and to bake, And all kinds of dresses she knows how to make. An equal to Miss Dix we never shall meet. As Adviser and teacher she just can't be beat. Algebra and Arithmetic are taught by Miss Fryg She never has failed to make X equal Y. III. Miss Garnes teaches Literature every day in the week And will always help those who knowledge do seek. U. S. and Modern History, Miss Hefner does teachg The depth of our knowledge she is sure to reach. Mr. Higgins is coach for the Boys' Basketball, And is right there with Track and Football. IV. As a teacher of Latin, Miss Lemmon's the bestg She has never been known to give a hard test. Miss Oliver teaches Freshmen and Seniors, you knowg If taking notes is your hobby, to her you must go. Miss Riddle draws circles and squares every day, As she teaches Geometry in an interesting way. V. Miss Speake is the coach for the Girls' Basketballg She advises the Juniors and is a friend to us all. We often see Miss Wilcox with baton in her hand, For she is leader of Orchestra, Glee Clubs and Band Miss Wetherall has advice for all students, you seeg If we do as she says, we healthy will be. VI. Mr. Young is not known by the Seniors real well, For the teaching of Freshmen and Soph's to him fell. Forgive us, dear teachers, if we've done you wrong, We'll forget you never, we'll remember you long. Of a better faculty we never heard tell, So now adieu and a fond farewell. I.
