Mathematics ADNITNISTRATION TO SENIORS: To you the class of 1950, who have toiled so arduously to attain your goal, in your hands rests the future of this great land of ours. We hope that this will not be the end of your education, for in the words of one of our great men of today, Education makes a people easy to lead. but dif- ficult to drive, easy to govern, but impossible to enslave. Learning should continue until the day of your passing on, not only that kind of learning you encountered and will encounter attending school, but that learning to which you are being exposed every day of your life. In the days o come be alert to the changing world, be an active citizen of your community, state and natio'n, at least to the opportunity to vote, be intelligent when forming opinions--you need to know all the facts. ' You should encourafge a desire to maintain and improve on the poli- tical and governmental orm of life in our country because you believe in our form of democracy. Education is the means throughwhich you, Class of 1950, may learn to understand, to appreciate, to develop and to de- fend the form of democracy which is our way of life.
