Graduatlon the goal that Ne l ave been seek1ng has flnally been reached Eacl' one of us ts now ready to ac out rnto thrs mammoth world and frnd hrs pos1t1on But before 16 leave le' us look back over the last sxx years and recall some of the wqrk and fun we have had together The fall of 1944 orouoht a gr .Jp of bashful students 'o W H S It was d1ff1 cult to get 1nto the swrng of hrgh school l1fe srnce we had our classes ln several dlfferent bulldtngs Nevertheless we entered 1nto as many act1v1t1es as were open to seventh graders erghth graders we proudly entered our new h1gh school bu ldrng whrch IS one of the best 1n Ohxo Belng rn our new home we stud1ed d1l1 gently and prepared for our frrst year tn hlgh school s Fresh nen 1n the fall of 1945 we started off slowly as a tra1n m1ght vvhrch rs begrnntng a long Journey However we were not long rn gettmg underway We began to take a greater lnterest 1n soctal and athletrc affalrs of the school We put on the lr Hrgh Halloween party For the flrst t1me we expertenced the headaches that sub1ects new to us such as Lattn can brlng Operatlons began 1n earnest ln our Sophomore year lnterspersed wtth the Joys of lxvlng were ser1ous thoughts of future ambrttons We eagerly en tered Senror Hrgh act1v1t1es for the frrst tlme Our members were actlve 1n the band and all the clubs We contrrbuted some excellent athletes who were of great value to the teams We had two good class partres durtng the Then came our 1un1or year wh1ch was a very busy but happy one ln November we presented a very successful play Under Twenty Shortly after we sponsored the I Hoo tne theme belng The CIFCJS whrch was com plete W1 h a merry go round The event that took the most t1me and energy was the Iunror Semor Banquet Our goal was to have the best Prom ev r held at W HS and under the excellent leader hrp of Mr Edgar we reallzed our arms We were up all hours of the nrght decorat1ng and maklng pro grams and menus then to bed only to dream of the beautrful Wtnter Won derland we had created for the Prom Flnally we reached the end of the 1ourney and have been class1f1ed as dlgntfred senlors We have been very proud of that name and hope we have hved up to rt As 1n former years members of our class have been ac t1ve ln athletlcs clubs and muslcal organlzatlons We have parttctpated ln many sclcolarshrp tests and placed srx of our members rn the Natronal Honor Soctety ln March we presented the play Halfway to Heaven and A Date Wlth ludy IH May Havlng reached the ultrmate goal graduatlon we must leave these hrgh school halls and walls but as we ao out 1nto l1fe our mrnds are full of gay remembrances that have made our htgh school days lnteresttng and excltxng However we must brd farewell to these thlng wh1ch have meant so much to us Our hlghest ambrtlon IS to always uphold the standards and 1deals of our dear Alma Mater W H S l21l A AY , 1 N .
