As tomorrow's citizens, today's history students are constantly exploring the facts of yesteryear tot help them anticipate the problems of the u ure. While studying history, the student achieves a sense of brotherhood with his ancestors who lived centuries ago. World history traces the progress of man from his primitive stages to his modern day triumph. Understanding the high points of past international affairs is a main concern. United States history helps us to develop a genuine appreciation of our heritage of free- dom and to acquire an understanding of con- flicts, compromises, and major decisions which have shaped this country's history.
