' , ww U 7, ii 1 r.li.i ' Wm .A ..,. , inur- 1,5 HARVEY RAMTHUN, Chief Custodian To keep a school as large as ours here at Sr. High neat, clean, and in good work- ing order is a full time job for Mr. Har- vey Ramthun and his eight assistants. The custodian's work, which begins at six in the morning, does not end when our school day ends. There is still much to be done in cleaning up classrooms, sweeping corridors, washing windows, shoveling snow, and feeding those huge, hungry furnaces, so our school will be in ship shape condition for our student body of 1600 people the following day. We are grateful to the custodians for the immaculate condition in which they keep our school and campus. , ...MV MW I ' orF1c1sRs The Student Council consists of one member from each homeroom, president, vice-president, secretary who are elected at the beginning of each semester, and five commissioners who serve for a full year. The Council sponsors the Candy Sale, all- school dances, football hops, assemblies, and elections. They also take care of any other unexpected drives, dances, or other activities that come up during the year. Mr. E. A. Roeske is the adviser and helps the group in solving their problems. This year's Student Council has labored very industriously. Zohorouuvki, Srlmlau' Ziegler, !dt'k50lI COMMISSIONERS The five commissioners are chosen by the student body to head vitally impor- tant committees: publicity, pep, finance, social, and school affairs. Student government has become a dis- tinctive practice at WHS. Its members carry on the extensive work of govern- ment. The first Wednesday and third Monday, representatives meet to discuss student problems. Through the co-opera- tion of the students and the assistance of the Council, we find sanitary conditions throughout the school and an orderly stu- dent body.
