Junior Gregg Club Rhythmic refrains emitting from the gym, and the jingling of nickels -e these are some of the sounds that spice the bi-monthly matinee dances, which happens to be one of the undertakings of the lunior Gregg Club. The ll5 girls who comprise the member- ship of this organization are shorthand l and ll students. Eager to familiarize the girls with the business world, Miss Farrow, the advisor, has arranged for guest speak- ers, who speak on general foundations of modern business methods, and has planned many social get-togethers. f-mtv' -rl, 1, - 'tsl 4 f iii? Senior Gregg Club At any of the Wausau High High School basketball games, which are most exciting, the Senior Gregg can always be seen, sell- ing their delicious ice cream bars to a happy but exhausted crowd of spectators. This is the club's way of raising money. Girls who have sold ice cream bars are feted at a large banquet given at the end of the year. The club members who are in their second year of shorthand or bookkeeping, attend many delightful luncheons, at which a prominent speaker on business affairs speaks to the girls. Miss Behling is the advisor. gag I,ippk-'T 'R 'iersff Prgwrz brzmflt, XR' .- LL! .f N 79 Lemme. 1' - m' C ?r'.,' I Frfufn, Pawlncvavsfzgir l 1'f.'.vlck, Pluttil, rd rvilzri, ilrwlin, Grff-l ,. The l94l Cardinals, undefeated in seven starts, again claimed the Wisconsin Valley Conference Cham- pionship for the third consecutive pigskin season. They proved to be an alert eleven, whom spectators pointed to with pride, and oppon- ents, with respect. The season was opened with only a few lettermen on the l94U cham- pionship football team as a nucleus, but Coach Brockmeyer molded out a title-winning combination, in spite of the strong and clever gridiron competition. The team, in general, was quite green, and lacked the polish of ptr vious teams. They were a willing lot, however, and their desire :pit hard work, will to win, ability to al sorb coaching, and expert executip: of blocking and tackling funds- rnentals, made them the undefeated champs. The squad started slowly, gaining momentum as the season progressed, so that its ways surprised the coach and supporters as it brushed aside seven foes. Five Wausau players received all- conference rating for their outstand- ing work during the season: Bill Ebert tackle Gordon Saindon cen ter George Magit quarterback Roger Trotzer fullback Darrell Braatz halfback Top Rowe Manager R Xkeinkauf, Scholfield, Puerner, Schmitz l-lilziensperqez Dudek, Eaaahl, Ecjgebrecht, McCunn, Bischott Preqont Kitowski, Manaaet Fraaza, Middle How Coach Eiwez Freeman, Dahm, Kappa, Nelson Heisler Yluevei lfclioen diese 'Wvvkowski Raymond Young Assistant Manaae Kell ihaaser O o Bracfc yer xv inkaut Schulta El e t l' rndt Brad zer L tem i M lenetzk o lter Ga ns
