ecAss Hjszouy In the fall of 1981, 21 confused freshmen entered Wausa High School for four fun-filled and memorable years. Those in the class were: Guy Anderson, Lisa Anderson, Michelle Anderson, Chris Beaudette, Steve Bloomquist, Donis Bratetic, Susan Claussen, Brian Frevert, Ken Gillilan, Ed Hoppe, Doug Jensen, Dan Kleinschmit, Michael Lackas, Kris Lauck, Darrin Lindquist, Tami Nelson, Brenda Roland, Denise Tollefson, Chris Wilbeck, Mike Wintz, and Beth Young. Class officers were: President Kris Lauck; Vice-President Darrin Lindquist; Secretary Michelle Anderson; and Treasurer Chris Wilbeck. Lisa Anderson and Michael Lackas represented the freshmen on the Student Council. Michelle Anderson and Michael Lackas were Homecoming attendents. Michelle Anderson and Kris Lauck were cheerleaders. The class sponsors were Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Cook. Returning for their second year of high school were 24 eager sophomores. The new members of the class were Shelly Harmeier, Deanna Schaller, and Greg Schaller. Dennis Lewchuck joined the class midway through the year bringing the class total to 25. Class officers for the year were: President Darrin Lindquist; Vice-President Chris Wilbeck; Secretary Michelle Anderson; and Treasurer Kris Lauck. Student Council members were Susan Claussen and Chris Beaudette. Kris Lauck and Brian Frevert were Homecoming attendents. Cheerleaders were Michelle Anderson, Lisa Anderson, and Kris Lauck. Flag squad members were Michelle Anderson, Lisa Anderson, and Kris Lauck. Miss Arent and Mr. Ankeny were class sponsors. The fall of 1983 brought 25 anxious juniors back to W H S. They elected President Darrin Lindquist; Vice- President Brian Frevert; Secretary Michelle Anderson; and Treasurer Kris Lauck. Student Council members were Lisa Anderson and Michael Lackas. Lisa Anderson and Ken Gillilan were Homecoming attendents. Michelle Anderson and Kris Lauck were cheerleaders. Flag squad member was Lisa Anderson. The junior class play was Young Dracula directed by Mr. Waite and Mr. Byrkit. The juniors honored the seniors at the Junior - Senior Prom. The theme was Lost in Love'. Brenda Roland left the class midway through the year. Miss Skala and Mr. Byrkit were the class sponsors. Returning for their last year of high school were 24 excited and ready-to-graduate seniors. Brian Frevert, President; Michael Lackas, Vice-President; Michelle Anderson, Secretary; and Kris Lauck, Treasurer were elected as class officers and Lusa Anderson and Guy Anderson as Student Council members. Cheerleaders were Michelle Anderson and Lisa Anderson. Flag squad members were Lisa Anderson, Kris Lauck, and Tami Nelson. Senior attendents at Homecoming were Lisa Anderson and Guy Anderson. Michelle Anderson and Brian Frevert were crowned King and Queen. Homecoming Emcees were Kris Lauck and Chris Wilbeck. Class sponsors were Mr. Rogers and Mr. Wamberg. Susan Claussen left the class midway through the year. Pick a Boy - Any Boy by Frank V. Priore and directed by Mr. Lundberg was presented by the seniors on March 29,1985. Sneak day was held on May 3,1985 with the class traveling to Omaha to see the sights . The Seniors were guests of the juniors at the Prom on April 26,1985. Baccalaureate was held on May 5,1985 and Commencement was held on May 12, 1985 to end four great and memorable years at Wausa High.
