Where there's mischief brewing. .. She's doing the stirring! class prophect in che fall of 1985 I decided it was long past time since I had seen my classmates and decided to find out what had become of them. Going into Wausa I saw Dave was still driving up and down Main Street singing Please Mr. Postman. Passing the local gas station I noticed that Cindy had taken over the business with Rick and Kevin work- ing as attendants. Driving on down the street I saw Mark and Steve were now selling used cars and jeeps, they had told me that their best customer was Bruce who now was the World's Champion demolition derby driver. Hearing the noon whistle I decided to stop in and eat at the Cafe where I saw Karen, the manager and Sharon working as head waitress. They told me that Brenda and Susan had worked in the Rest Home for so long that they are now patients at the Home and that Tim was now Park Ranger at Gladstone Park. Remembering I had to cash some checks I went on over to the bank where I was greeted by the president of the bank Gary, who also plays football for the Huskers during the season. The head bookkeeper and vice-president, Vicki said that she was now married and had four kids. In the bank 1 also saw Theresa, Marlene, and Mary Ann who were accountants there. I then decided to go over to the grocery store and get some groceries and to my surprise I saw Beth was still working as a cashier. I then asked her how she was feeling these days. She said she was okay and went on to tell me that Debbie now owned a beauty shop which Kim had built for her and that Sylvia and Carol Me. were her assistants. Going on down to the bowling alley, I saw Lisa and Pat who were now the gourmet chefs. Pat told me that she also was a part-time veterinary. They went on to say that they receive all of their meat from Robert, Charles, and Leigh who were the biggest ranchers in Knox County. Feeling a little dizzy, I decided to go to the doctor's office. On the way down I saw Gene was still building bins for Knox County farmers. Stepping into the office I was greeted by Knox County's finest doctor, Becky. She then introduced me to her staff: her typist, Mary, who also is the Home Ec. teacher in Wausa; Ruth, her head nurse and part-time art instructor; and her medical assistant, Carol C. On my way home I concluded that my trip was a worthwhile venture since I had seen all of my classmates again. 13
