to be together is to be individual Why did one join a club; involve himself with inspired English class discussions; tryout for the play; run till body lost all feeling; sing in the chorus; decorate a homecoming scene; work on the yearbook staff; burn the midnight oil to complete a term paper; strive for first chair in band; To make good grades? Airport next to a young woman who looked very familiar. After a few minutes I realized that she was LouAnn C. She told me that she was a missionary to Chungking, China. As I boarded the plane, the stewardess who greeted me was Kim L., another class- mate. Naturally, I asked her about Roger A. After he got his pilot’s license, why got married and started working for TWA. My first stop was Denver and I was anxious to see the sights. Having never seen a roller derby, I decided to find out what it was like. When I arrived, I heard a strange announcement. Sharon A., The Cruncher, had become Centennial Queen of the Roller Derby. She and her manager, Helen R., were skating into the rink to accept the trophy. The Denver Broncos were playing the Miami Dolphins, so I went to see the game. When I arrived, I saw Von C. wrapping Doug H. 's leg. Von is the Dolphins’ student nurse and Doug is working to break O. J. Simpson's record. When I sat down aboard my Omaha flight, I noticed that the girl across the aisle was Ruth B. She is now a professional cheerleader for the Minnesota Vikings. At Omaha I got on the bus to Norfolk. Nancy B. greeted me at the gates of Ta-ha- zouka Park. She is the zookeeper there. Upon leaving, I ran into Randy A. who is still working for his accounting degree from NNTCC. I wanted to rent a car to go up to Wau- sa, so I visited the local Cadillac dealer. I went into the office and saw Jeff K. sitting at the deak, making a land transaction on the phone. As I walked in the door of the rest home at Wausa, I was blinded by the flash of a bulb. Vicky G., still working there, had been promoted to the position of Professional Photographer of the Valley View Home. By this time, I was getting hungry, so I stopped in at the Office Cafe. Pam B. was now the cafe's accountant. Neal S. was eating, so I talked to him. He is still making his daily trips to Bloomfield. Touring the Wausa countryside, I saw Bill T. He told me that he runs the maintainer on Tim S. 's ranch (which was once Cedar County). Dan M. was digging a silage pit on the ranch with his homemade Tonka cat. I buzzed up to the river to see what was happening. As I passed through Lindy, I saw a huge factory--Kneifl Pleasure Pops, Inc., Paula Wiese, president. At the Devils Nest, Nina A. was atop the tobogganing hill shouting orders to the men moving the snow machines. Back in Wausa, I paid a visit to the Viking Lanes. I glanced down into the old Teen Center and saw Debbie L., card shark of the Viking Lanes Rec Room, dealing a fast hand. Don M., head box boy at the Shakey Shop, was bringing groceries in. Roger M., a government agent to issue gas coupons, is working at his Dad's station. Kerry C. was having his Mustang filled while I was there. He is now part owner and head welder at L. R. Carlson, Inc. At my stop in Detroit, I visited the Ford Motor Company. Jim B. was head engineer in charge of installing factory air conditioners. When I got to New York, I went to see a Knicks game. Barb D. was organist there. She told me that during the day she teaches Special Education at Bronx High. On my way from the gate, I ran into Janet E. She and Debbie B. are head stenographers for Rhonda W., chief advertiser for Gourmet Magazine. Hotels all over New York were advertising for the dental convention. The head speaker was Pat N., president of the American Den- tal Association. Since I wasn't feeling very well, I went to a nearby doctor's office. Arlyce V., who had taken over Marcus Welby's profession, told me to take a nap and I would feel better. At the Airport, I saw Jeff E., a career Navy man on leave. On my way home I decided that my trip was a worthwhile venture since I had seen all my classmates again. juniors Cindy Albrecht, Kevin Anderson, Leigh Anderson, Steve Anderson, Gene Barnes, Becky Beaudette, Sylvia Becker, Mary Brun- er, Carol Carlson, Vicki Cunningham, Lisa Dawson, Kim Erickson, Nancy Erickson, Robert Folck, Rick Gatze- meyer, Theresa Greeno, Gary Gun- derson, Karen Gus- tafson, Brenda John- son, Mark Kirby, Mary Ann Land- holm, Marlene Lind, Carol Mc- Quay, Bruce Mc- Leod, Susan Mul- ler, Beth Nelson, Tim Nelson, Sharon Putney, Ruth Ritchey, David Ros- berg, Pat Thierolf, Debra Wachter. 12 sophomores Tim Albrecht, Gail Barnes, Brian Blair, Laddy Carlson, Mary Ann Carlson, Robert Carlson, Ron Carlson, Roger Claus sen, Tom Cunningham, Judy Doerr, Corliss Do- oley, Pat Elsberry, Dave Enquist, Doyle Folck, Kim Johnson, Nancy Koehler, Gene Lamprecht, Carlene Lind, Patty Lind, Cheryl Mc- Quay, Bobby Mit - tan, Marty Muller, Denise Mutter, Kyle Newberg, Murray Peters, Connie Prather, Ed Remm, John Ritchey, Randy Rohde, Will Schal- ler, David Strivens, Sharlene Thorell, William Thorell, Kathy Wachter, Jill Wakely, Stan Warn- berg, Cindy Wrick. freshmen Scot Albrecht, Kev- in Anderson, Mel- anie Anderson, Shelley Anderson, David Beaudette, Pam Blankenship, Brad Carlson, Roger Carlson, David Claussen, David Cunningham, Gina Dennis, Corliss Dooley, Mike Eif- ert, Keith Erickson, Pat Erickson, Bruce Friedrich, Jackie Gatzemeyer, Jane Gunderson, Arden Gustafson, Diane Hult, Ray Johnson, Shari Johnson, Jodi Ketelsen, Scott Kinkaid, Sandra Kirby, Marilyn Koehler, Kevin Lauck, Doug Main- quist, Julie Nelson, Kirk New berg, Kev- in Olson, Rande Os- berg, Dorothy Ritchey, Richard Rosberg, Theresa Rosen, Curtis Sea- gren, Wendy Seger, Gary Skalberg, Mylet Skalberg. 14 class officers Upper Left: Junior Class Of- ficers: President, Nancy E.; Vice-President, Mary B.; Secretary, Karen G.; Trea- surer, Tim N.
