Lavendar C Purple CLASS MOTTO..............What we are to be, We are becoming. CLASS HISTORY Wausa High School was invaded in 1969 by thirty-one Frantic Freshmen. Among the invaders were Kevin Ankeny, Lonme Benson, Randy Blunck, JaneUe Cunningham, Carol Doten, Brian ElDorado, Lida Erickson, Linda Erickson Dan Folck, Norma Gustafson, Mike Hopkins, Dave Hult, Doug Johnson, Jolene Johnson, Mike Johnson, hRS h’pJ »Ann Nancy Kirby Verlyn Lind, Lorena Lind, Bill Mainquist, Kevin Monson, Diane T efsonB urtCWhalelyathy Prather’ Donna Rosberg. ARce Skalberg, Dan Skalberg, Eileen Thorell, Chris tr nt-DaVe Hf11 W3S thelr fearl®f leader, with Kevin A. second in command. Polly J. was secretary and Lorena L. took care of money matters. Mr. Story and Miss Voss were class sponsors. Carol D., Nancy K., Dan S., Mike H. represented the Freshmen on the Student Council. Nancy K. was cheerleader and Chris T. and Doug J were ’ Homecoming Attendants. 6 J Mike H. and Kevin A. left, leaving twenty-nine returning Sophomores. Mr. Leapley and Miss Arent were sponsors. Class officers were: President, Linda E., Vice-president, Norma G.; Secretary, Carol D.; Treasurer, Donna R. Student Council members were Dan S., Randy B., Kathy P., and Polly J. Diane M. and Dan S. were Homecoming Attendants, and Nancy K. was cheerleader. f wn? Everlt l°ln®d e cla s in 1971 to bring the total to thirty Juniors. Kurt W. presided with help from Brian E. Mike J. and Kevin M. were secretary and treasurer, respectively. Class sponsors were Mrs. Kuhlman and Mr. Ankeny. Dave H., Dan S., Alice S., and Jolene J. were Student Council members. Homecoming attendants were Dave H., and Chris T. The class play, The Whole Truth was directed by Mr. Story and presented on No- vember 12, 1971. Class nngs, ordered from Josten's, arrived December 13. The Juniors honored the Seniors at a Banquet and Prom on April 28, 1972. The theme was, Moonlight and Roses. In the fall of 1972 twenty-nine Seniors returned for their last year. Polly J. and Jeri E. did not return and Deb Clarkson joined the class. Diane M. was president with Linda E. as vice-president, Alice S. as secretary, and Kevin M. as treasurer. Senior members of the Student Council were Lorena L., Kathy P., Mike J., and Dave H. Cheerleaders were Nancy K. and Kathy P. Homecoming King and Queen were Dave H. and Diane M. The Seniors were honored by the Jumors with a Banquet and Prom on May 4, 1973. The theme was, A Summer Place. Mr. Lundberg directed the class play, The Time is Ripe. Baccalaureate was held May 13, and on May 16, 1973 at Commencement Exercises, the class ended four busy and unforgettable years. 5
