Text from Pages 1 - 48 of the 1973 volume:

In putting this annual together, the idea of having Purple Pride has been used throughout, mainly by using pictures. Especially in the first two pages are candids related to school pride and spirit, such as being on the honor roll, receiving the pep stick, or painting signs. Many thanks are given to all who contributed their time to work on this yearbook. Special thanks is extended to Mr. Mauck, Mr. Leapley, Dave Hult, Eileen Thorell and others for all their time in taking the pictures. So do I. CLASS PROPHECY While cleaning, I found my old Senior annual and de- cided to see what my classmates were up to by now. I decided to start in the Clinic where Kathy, head nurse, was giving orders to Carol and Beth. Jolene was in the next room treating Brian for shock after he was informed that he was the father of triplets. Down the hall, Nancy was fitting Doug for his new false teeth. In another part of the Clinic JoAnn, the psychologist, was analyzing Janelle after her kids drove her crazy. KURTIS WHALEY-Class President 3; Class Play 3; 1 Act Play 3-4; County Gov- ernment Day 3; Chorus 4; Madrigal 4; Librarian 4; Vocal Clinic 4 That's as well said, as if I'd said it myself. 10 Stopping for a bite to eat, I found Deb and Diane waiting on Eileen and Alice, two businesswomen. When I joined them, they told me that Donna, Lorena, and Chris were secretaries in their firm. The steak I ate came from Kurt's world-famous 2,000-acre farm. There Mike was Chief Sanitation Engineer and Butch was head cattle feeder. Back in my car, I turned on the radio and heard Dan S., the sportscaster. I then stopped at the school which Bill had designed. Inside Lida was teaching P. E. to children from Linda's and Norma's elementary classes. I drove on to the gas station where Randy was head mechanic. Dan F. , and Lonnie were working as attend- ants. They told me that Dave and Kevin had just patented a new computer. Back home, I closed my annual and thought again of all the fun the Class of '73 had had. CLASS WILL I, Lonnie B. , will my English textbooks to anyone who will enjoy them more than I.
