CLASS PROPHECY The Seniors of '81 left bright and early one morning for their Sneak Day. As they progressed, they ran across several members of the Class of '71. The first stop was at a big hospital where the registered nurses, Gretchen Tollefson and LouOra Lind, were busy with patients and giving orders to the LPN's, Rogene Bumann, Cheryl Whaley, Pat Albrecht, and Cheri Stoecker. In another part of the hospital psychologist Tom Wakeley was analyzing Dave Munter, the professional grocery boy. As they continued their tour, they came across a school where Jeanne Lamprecht and Laura Nelson were teachers. It was also noticed how well the floors were taken care of by Roger Erickson, Chief Sanitation Engineer. They stopped for lunch at the Drifty Diner Truck Stop where Dave Carlson, the brilliant mathematician, and Gene Kalvelage, the professional basketball play- er, were having lunch, and outside Jim Swanson, the mechanic, was busy fixing a motor. They walked into a church where Mike Osbury, the local minister, was busy forgiving the sins of Warren Greeno and Bob hfitz. While touring the 3-M Company, they came across Kathy Muller, the business woman, being assisted by secretaries Barb Wamberg, Barb Koehler, and Cherrie Carlson. After an afternoon of shopping, they headed for the Purple Copycats where the live entertainment was being provided by Allen Mittan, leader of a combo, and Phil Bruner, a comedian. Out in the audience laughing at the hilarities were Robert Doerr and Dave Wakeley and Rick Anderson, the tough drill sargeant who was home on leave from the Army. Twila Lind and Ellen Jacob were busy waiting on the tables of Ranee Barnes and Melva Acklie, two housewives who were out for a night on the town. 11
