CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1966, fifty-three Freshmen entered Wausa High School to begin four busy and fun- filled years. The class included: Sharon Acklie, Gayle Albrecht, Beth Alexander. Charles Anderson. John Anderson, Rick Beaudette, Allana Bild, Lynn Blair, Karen Blunck, Randy Cook, Roland Doten, Mary ElDorado. Larry ElDorado, Alan Enquist, Darleen Erickson, Rodney Fink, Maxine Friedrich. Beth Gillilan, Pamela Hallvin, Lynda Hopkins, Colleen Hult, Kenneth Jacob, Kathy Johnson, Kelly Johnson, Peggy Johnson, Terry Johnson. Brad Kinkaid, Kevin Kirby. Faye Kumm, Daryl Lamprecht. Council members were Beth Gillilan, Kathy Johnson, Rick Beaudette, and John Anderson. Peggy Johnson was chosen as cheerleader. The theme of Homecoming was Wonderland by Night. Freshman attendants were Kathy Johnson and Rick Beaudette. Class sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Orville Johnson. Fifty-six sophomores returned for their second year at Wausa High School. Class officers were: Pres., Joan Pfeil; Vice Pres., John Anderson; Sec., Laurel Johnson; and Treas., Kevin Kirby. Stu. Council members were Beth Gillilan, Kathy Johnson, Daryl Lamprecht, and Terry I'-1” on. The theme of Homecoming was Legend of the Bells and it was presented by the sophomore cl-as. Sophomore at- tendants were Laurel Johnson and Terry Johnson. Class sponsors were Miss Arent and Mr. Leapley. In the fall of 1968, fifty-six juniors returned for their third year at Wausa High. Class officers were: Pres., Rick Beaudette; Vice Pres., Terry Johnson; Sec., Cindy Liebentritt; and Treas., Kevin Kirby. Stu. Council members were Kathy Remm, Joan Pfeil. Kelly Johnson, and Daryl Lamprecht. Peggy Johnson and Laurel Johnson were chosen as cheerleaders. The theme of Homecoming was Ebb Tide and it was presented by the junior class. Junior attendants were Peggy Johnson and John Ander- son. Class sponsors were Mrs. Carson and Mr. Ankeny. The Junior Class Play, Pass the Cream, was presented November 8, 1968. It was directed by Mr. Story. Class rings were ordered from the Balfour Company and they arrived on december 13, 1968. The Juniors honored the Seniors at a banquet on May 2. 1969. The theme was Romance in Venice. Music for the dance was by the Sunny Funny Company. In the fall of 1969, fifty seniors returned to Wausa High for their last year. Class officers were: Pres., Daryl Lamprecht; Vice Pres., Terry Johnson; Sec., Bob Pearson; and Treas., Kevin Kirby. Stu. Council members were Mary ElDorado. Peggy Johnson, Rick Beaudetee. and Randy Mainquist. Peggy Johnson and Joan Pfeil were chosen as cheerleaders. The theme of Homecoming was A Time for Us and it was presented by the seniors. Peggy Johnson was chosen as Queen, and John Anderson was chosen as King. Senior Attendants were Kathy Remm and Rick Beaudette. Class sponsors were Mr. Johnson and Mr. Wamberg. Senior pictures were taken by Genelli Studios of Sioux City on September 30, 1969. The Senior Class Play was presented in March of 1970. The Seniors were honored by the Juniors at a banquet on May 1, 1970. The theme was Three Coins in a Fountain. Music for the dance was by the Velvet Haze. Baccalaureate was held May 10, 1970. Commencement exercises were held May 13, 1970 to end four happy and memorable years for the Seniors of 1970.
