High school is the hallway from ad- olescence to the adult world. It leads from civics class to an algebra quiz. It pauses in the home ec kitchen and then travels into an English class. After a brief stop in the shop, a near catastrophe in the chemistry lab, and a semester test in government, it ends with a diploma. Y et high school is not all homework and hurrying in the halls. It is the excitement of a football or basketball game, the enjoyment of a band concert or a class play, and the big night of the banquet or prom. There are times when the hallway seems neverending, but when you reach that final door and look back you will realize that the past four years have left you with some wonder- ful and cherished memories.
