CLASS HISTORY SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS In the fall of 1957, Twenty-three green freshmen started their high school careers at Wausa High. They were Rowlan Anderson, Donald Bach, David Banks, Judith Bengston, Betty Eifert, Ronald Fink, Sharon Gillilan, Robert Greenwall, Arthur Halleen, Betty Kliment, Wayne Kumm, Roger Lindquist, Gordon Moeller, Adele Newquist, Evan Nordstrom, Richard Schultz, Karen Suhr, David Swanson, Duane Swanson, Judith Swanson. Mar- lyce Swanson, Donovan Thorell, Douglas Wamberg, As the class was organized the following were elected to offices: President, David Banks; Vice President, Judith Swanson; Secretary, Marlyce Swanson; and Treasurer, Judith Bengston. Ronald Fink, Rowlan Anderson, Sharon Gillilan, and Karen Suhr, were chosen as student coun- cil members. Miss Arent served as their class sponsor. Judith Bengston was chosen cheerleader. Judith Bengston and David Banks were Homecoming Attendants. On September 1, 1958, twenty-one sophomores returned. Betty Eifert left our class during the year. Jon Berentz became a member of our class for six weeks. Class officers: President, Rowlan Anderson; Vice Presi- dent, Arthur Halleen; Secretary, Judith Bengston; and Treasurer, Sharon Gillilan. Robert Greenwall, Evan Nordstrom, Judith Swanson, and Betty Eifert were chosen as student council members. Judy Bengston served as our cheerleader. Judith Swanson and Ronald Fink were attendants for Homecoming. Mr. Horner was the class spon- sor. The junior class consisted of twenty-one members. The members elected to class offices were as follows: President, Arthur Halleen; Vice President, Sharon Gillilan; Secretary, Judy Swanson; and Treasurer, Ronald Fink. Student Council Members were Rowlan Anderson, David Banks; Betty Kliment, and Judith Bengston. Mrs. Rosen and Mr. Lundeen served as sponsors. Judy Bengston and Judy Swanson were selected as cheerleaders. Homecoming attendants were Betty Kliment and Rowlan Anderson. The Junior Class Play, Bolts and Nuts, was held on October 20, 1959, directed by Mr. Ortman. The class rings were received January 4, 1960. On May 6th the Junior-Senior Banquet was held. The theme was King Neptune's Court. For their last and final year at Wausa High, twenty-two seniors returned. Rogene Nelson and Robert Swanson joined our class. Class officers were: President, Dave Banks; Vice President, Robert Greenwall; Secretary, Sharon Gillilan; Treasurer, David Swanson. Class sponsors were Mr. Johnson and Mr. Hansen. Student Council mem- bers were Judy Swanson, Betty Kliment, Rowlan Anderson and Evan Nordstrom. Senior pictures were taken on October 7. Hillbilly Weddin', the senior play, was given on December 2, with Mr. Ortman as director. Homecoming attendants were Judith Bengston, Karen Suhr, Rowlan Anderson, and David Banks. Rowlan and Karen were King and Queen. On May 5 the Juniors honored the Seniors with a banquet. Baccalaureate exer- cises were held on May 21.
