On August 30, 1955, twenty-eight green Fresh- men entered Wausa High School to begin four busy but wonderful years. They were: Beverly Anderson, Carole Anderson, Rickers, Leon Anderson, Pamela Anderson, Eva Ayers, Carol Beaudette, Carolyn Beau- dette, Herbert Bengston, Velda Claussen, Donald Eifert, Deanna Enquist, Betty Erickson, Eugene Gilli- lan. Jay Helm, Dennis Johnson, Juanita Johnson, Sheila Kirby, Gordon Kumm, Beverly Nelson, Susan Nelson, Karen Peterson, Charles Rehan, Norma Seag- ren, Robert Skalberg. Robert Swanson, Richard Thor- ell, Donald Weyhrich, and Marilyn Wrick. At our first class-meeting the following officers were elected: President, Herbert Bengston; Vice President, Marilyn Wrick; Secretary, Susan Nelson; Treasurer, Eva Ayers. Norma Seagren, Karen Peterson, Robert Swanson, and Dennis Johnson were elected on the student council. Miss Arent served as our class sponsor. Susan Nelson and Dennis Johnson were the Homecoming Attendants. Sheila Kirby and Susan Nelson were our cheerleaders. On September 3, 1956, twenty-six Sophomores returned to Wausa High. Norman Carlson later joined our class increasing the enrollment to twenty-seven. Class officers were; President, Richard Thorell; Vice President, Norma Seagren; Secretary, Susan Nelson; Treasurer, Carole Rickers. Beverly Anderson, Juanita Johnson, Don Eifert, and Dennis Johnson were chosen for the student council. Attendants for Homecoming were Norma Seagren and Richard Thorell. Susan Nel- son was cheerleader. Mr. Gunderson served as our class sponsor. Twenty-seven Juniors returned to Wausa High on September 2, 1957, Class officers were: President, Norma Seagren; Vice President, Gordon Kumm; Sec- retary, Dennis Johnson; Treasurer, Herbert Bengston, Beverly Anderson, Betty Erickson, Robert Skalberg, and Robert Swanson served on the student council. Miss Mengedoht and Mr. Paradisanos were our class sponsors. The Juniors presented their play, Keep Moving, on November 8. Miss Mengedoht directed the play. Junior class rings came November 27. On May 2, the Juniors honored the Seniors with the annual Junior-Senior Banquet. Our theme was, Rendezvous of Stars. Homecoming attendants were Betty Erickson and Robert Skalberg. Sheila Kirby and Marilyn Wrick were our cheerleaders. September 1, 1958, twenty-six Seniors entered Wausa High for their final year. Class officers were: President, Betty Erickson; Vice President, Robert Skalberg; Secretary, Deanna Enquist; Treasurer, Dennis Johnson. Student council members were Juanita Johnson, Velda Claussen, Robert Swanson, and Herbert Bengston. Our class sponsors were Mr. Johnson and Mr. Gunderson, Susan Nelson and Juanita Johnson were cheerleaders. The Seniors presented their class play Great Caesar’s Ghost, on December 5, with Miss Stoltenberg directing. Senior pictures were taken on October 20 by Genelli Studios of Sioux City, Iowa. Homecoming Attendants were Susan Nelson, Norma Seagren, Dennis Johnson, and Robert Skalberg. On the night of May 1, the Juniors gave a banquet in honor of the Seniors. Baccalaureate exercises were held on May 17. The final get together of the Seniors was the Commence- ment program which was held on May 20. SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS CLASS HISTORY L. G.
