The 1954 football season started with fifty boys turning out. There were thirteen returning lettermen. Our first two games were non-conference. We posted a win against Wautoma and we lost to Nekoosa. We won the first con- ference game of the season from Wittenburg. We lost to Marion, Manawa, Bonduel and Mosinee. The team showed up well a ainst stron er foes 8 8 - Jerry Taber was voted most va1uab1e, and Jim Davies was selected as captain of the 1954 Blue Comets.
