Ill' Crgafa Stop! whatever you are doing, lay it aside, and forget for the next minute that this is 1955 Imagine that you are a high-school student of 1921, when the first issue of our Crystal came out. The Criterion, Waupaca High School' monthly publication of literature gossip Jokes, and news, was all right 'til the present But what good would a Criterion be twenty years from now when a party of old classmates got together to reminisce about the past? How could one tell from The Criterion that Joanie once had a pug nose, or that Herbert had freckles? A thousand words couldn't bring back the old faces but picture S could . The new annual publication would have all these picturesg not only of the students but of the faculty too. It would reveal many things about the high school stu which they didn't know themselves. In fact it would be a regular crystal ball. Then, too, the existence of the Crystal River near by warranted naming our annual, The Crystal.
