Furnishing the music tonight is Leo Lane and his fine dance band The pianist with the band is WK D W Dopp, and rendering the vocal numbers is Yvonne Gall We are honored to have several gggg musicians here too, Janet Campbell, director of Campbells' Soupy All Girl Orchestra Violet Olson, who just finished a piano concert at Castle Hall, and Sharon amthun, first violinist with Campbell's orchestra Included in the entertainment will be movies shown by Sally Niles, manager of the Rosa Theater, assisted by Donjo Burnham, who is still doorman The master of ceremonies this evening is Brad Scott, local Justice of the Peace There seems to be a short in the wiring, because the lights keep flickering It's a good thing Terry Mcauley, head electrician at Westinghouse, is here He is working on the lights now There are quite a number of the '52 class that are now teaching at their old Alma Mater Bernice Nowak is the geography teacher and Donna Riemer is an instructor of social science Lois Schroeder presides over the kindergarten and Janice Thompson and Rowena Wilde are teaching in the grades The library is kept in fine condition by the librarian, Arline Nelson, assisted by Leah Dunphy Chief Forest Ranger at Purplestone National Park, Clayton Peterson, and his secretary, Joyce Matson, are talking to Bev Olson and Joan Taggert, an internationally known roller skating team Charlotte Rice, clothes consultant at Macy's is here Along with her is Juanita Pillsbury, head of the alteration department at Macy's Jim Smith, president of Northwest Airlines, and John Stratton pharmacist and part owner with his father of Stratton's Drug Store, are carry ng on a conversation with Jerry Salan, head doctor at Waupaca's new hospital Other members of Salan's staff are here also, Donna Vinson, X ray technician, and Bev Manney, Shirley Williamson, and Jacci Ciura, nurses Several of the girls in the class have managed to find baby sitters for Debby Jones Thompson, Florence Taggert Weeden, and Joan Robinson Jones The two prominent farmers from the surrounding country have come in for the party Carroll Johnson and Ronald Rasmussen Marvin Johnson, truck driver from Floy 's Super Market, is talking with George Whalen who followed in his father's footsteps and is Police Justice at Parfreyville Some more local people Just arrived Well, they say, nThe nearer you are to a place, the later you get there N There is Superintendent Dan Hendrickson and Don Farmer, manager of the Gamble store Dougby O'Johnson the friendly undertaker, was here a moment ago, but he had to be shoveling o Oh, there's Sid Davidson, head coach at 'Kingn University and his wife the former Janet Wilson Wayne Johnson, beloved bachelor of the nyoung maids home, just arrived and with him is Sheriff Fabricius Accompanying the sheriff are game wardens Jerry Hales and Robert Wyman What's that awful noise? ROBERT EUGENE WYMAN nBertn Ambition: Game warden Hobbies: Hunting and fishing Activities: Stamp Club 1 Intramural Basketball 1,3 Historical Society Prom Committee 3 'Happy am I, from care I am free, why can't they all be REUNION IN 1977 And now we leave tne studios of P A C A to bring you a special broadcast Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen This is your roving reporter, Tangle Tongue, broadcasting the 1977 reunion of the class of 1952 of Waupaca High School They were finally graduated on May 28, 1952, much to everyone's relief Now they are all gathered together again This huge reunion is being held in Waupaca's beautiful new auditorium, designed by a member of the class, architect NAln Johanknecht, who is here tonight Grouped around WAIU I see Paul Waichulaitis, his draftsman, Rene Nichols, his interior decorator, and Joe Stadler, foreman of construction The painting was done by Norman Kalies The members of the class are being met at the door by Janet Padrutt, receptionist at Anna's Tea Garden, and Mary Lou Cartwright, hostess at the Yacht Club Arrangements for this grand affair were made by Audrey Lick, Donna Johnson, Marge Johnson, and LaVera Koplien, who are all secretaries at Waupaca The invitations were typed by Donna Tarr, typing instructor at W H S She trained under Miss Knudsen The guest of honor is the President of the United States nBoobn Weller, and standing next to him are his personal advisors, Art Goll and ohn Karavakis Fortunately, all the members of the class are here but one Phyllis Dishno, foreign correspondent to Ogdensburg, is tied up in that city Robert Hafele, deeply tanned, has just returned from his travels in Africa Gary Fredrickson is taking a three day pass from his post on the battleship nDelores at the Chain O'Lakes Arriving just in time for the party were Joan Lillie and Dorothy Amborski who were traveling through Purplestone National Park On my left I see Alice Sawyer, Dean of Women at Columbia University, and Nan Wittman, Prof of Occupational Therapy at the University of Iowa I see Charles M Larson, New York industrialist, and his secretary Rosemary Aztell, and Senator Duane Schultz of Wisconsin Also back from the fast is Ralph Larson, pro basketball player with the 'Paca Globetrotters N The pilot of his plane was Gary Wegner, the co pilot was Arden Sellin, and acting as stewardess was Arlene Hayes Riding on the plane with Ralph was Ken Christensen, hoo hitter of the National League Speaking of sports, I see Dawn Kieffer, skip of the winning curling team at the Olympics Also present is Carol Hedtke, winner of the Indianapolis Speedway There are quite a few military personnel here Among them are: General Jacquelyn Bonnell and Lt Colonels Sylvia Schroeder and Laverne Ogren Also away from their military duties are Admiral Subleski and Admiral Enerson We'd like to mention at this time that the huge cake was made by that world famous baker, Dick Olsen John Anderson, 0lsen's official sampler, is following eagerly behind the cake The punch was furnished by Larry Hanson, president of Hanson Breweries . 0 . l 0 l 5. 1 O. .
