Superintendent George W. Hendrickson, Ph. M. Knox College fran University of Wisconsin W OUR SUPERINTENDENT Thirty years ago in Mount Morris, Illinois, a young man received his high school diploma from his father, the superintendent of schools. This year that young man, George Hendrickson, our super- intendent, will present a diploma to his son, Dan, at the Commencement Exercises on May 28. Lt. Colonel in the chemical corps with permanent rank in the reserves our superintendent served on active duty from September, 19'-+2 until August 19146, with the enem1en1 warfare department in Washington D. C. he served also as classification officer at the University of Maryland, and at Georgetown University commanded a 'training oompamy at Camp sibert, Alabama, at one time. Just prior to his discharge he served as a military government officer with the 7th Division in Korea. We the students of Waupaca High School, are sincerely thankful that upon the expiration of his active service he returned to Waupaca an to our high school. we are deeply grateful to him for all the helpful and kindly advice he has given us. He is a true friend to each and every Waupaca High School student.
