MARCHI- G BA Ready with his baton and whistle, drum major Eddie Lenth gives the In 1961, as in previous years, Waukon High School was proud to command. be represented by one of the finest marching bands in the state. They received a division II rating in the Class A high school competition at E the State Contest held in Charles City on October 14--a good record in itself. Included in the 65 members of the band were a number of freshmen and sophomores who should provide excellent material for coming years. The band is always on hand to entertain the spectators with its snappy drills during halftime at the home football games. 56
