The departing of friends in body but not in soul is a result of grad- uation. Caryl Hager was a busy girl pinning on the white roses. GRADU Four years are a long time, but spent in WHS that time went unbelieveably fast. HSIG bGfOIG WG, the seniors, hardly realized what was happening Baccalaureate rolled around, The strains of Pomp and Circumstancen flowed to our ears, as we slowly walked down the aisle, proud to yet be a student at WHS, Reverend Vaaler gave us an inspiring sermon, after which we really began to look forward to the future. FA TASY LA D The Royal Court, with pretty L orra ine Webster as Queen and Larry Evans as King, reigned over Fantasyland. Our Cinderella Queen and her King enjoy their royal dance together after the coronation. The Grand March led by Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wilharm was one of the many highlights of the evening. ATIO The big night came at lastg graduation, 1960. In a few hours the seniors were declared alumni of Waukon High School. Some were happy, others shed tears, but no matter what the reaction, everyone had some sentiment about leaving the old high school. The smiling junior class officers, Lois and Grunt, are ready to escort the seniors to their seats. The graduating class of- 1960 assembled together as one body. Herbert Jenkins, President of the school board, congratulates the graduating class upon re- ceiving their diplomas. Finally, an alumni!
