LJQ S- 1x ' 'J ..,, ,, years on the main team with Yours Truly. We laughed and cried together, and during a game it was like hav- ing the other half of you playing when Bea was by your side. When one lost her confidence the other was right there to get her back in the game. That's how we spent three very enjoyable years of basketball together. But it isn't always the main team that wins s ball game. Several instances this year the subs were called upon to get the team out of a rut. Wanda Brawley stepp- in several times this year and did a remarkable job. The others included Rita Felber, Leona Hromas, Jane Ann Miller, Ila Mae Dick, Norma Dean Stutz and Barbara Mar- tin Last but not least is our coach Mr Holder happy-go-lucky guy who was always full of fun and shared the honor and disappointments of our teen Mr Holder was liked very much by the whole team and we were proud t say That's our Coach N On our first game we journeyed to klHgfl3h6P where we met the Dover sextette All during the Iirst three quarters Dover was le ding, and the score was l9 23 at the end of the third quarter waukomis came back with extra zest and the forwar's dunned six baskets rutting the score 51 29 in favor of waukomis Our first game on our home was played against Pion e r sweat accumulated on the floor making it very difficult for both teams to play Pioneer slid to vic tory by a one point margin The skeltur Confarenc was our next tournament in line Our fir t game was with Pioneer e won by a score of 27 18 Then Payward was our next victim The results were satisfactoryand we were in the semi finals with Drummond ,Drummond was 10 points ahead at the half and Jaukomis came back with determination Ne held down the Bulldogettes to three points the last half while at the opposite end our forwards were sinking one basket after the other Old Father Time crept up on us leaving us on the short end of the score 14 l8 Then we were invited to the Invitional Tournament at Farber Our first game we pl yed Douglas we wer then FCBGY to Ch3ll04e0 C9V1HBt0U This was a very close game five at the third quarter we slack ned up a bit and asain cane out on the short end 15 20 Th t was the nite a few tears were shed At the District Tournament held t Carrier, we drew it 1 5f'1'? The Qoinq looked much better as we were gaining on them. Evelyn buxa was switched down to forward and with thirty seconds to go, we lost bv one ooint. This game ended the season for some play- ers and for the three seniors it ended their basketball career. The seniors deeplv regreted to relinquish the suits that has brought them so much happiness, but they will leave with the satisfaction of knowing that they will bring fun and glory to thc future players.
