8th HOUR ACTIVITIES Variety is the spice of life. This year, with the addition of eighth hour, new clubs were organized to give us an even greater variety of activities. Those students wanting to broaden their cul- tural background joined the German Club. Others set their goal on becoming future Einsteins and became members of the junior Science Club. We showed an increasing interest in travel with the introduction of Highways and Biways. Those with an artistic skill made ceramics and wood carvings in Handicrafts Club, while girls looking for some- thing different signed up for Girls' Woodwork Group. All of these clubs are just a sampling of various activities offered in school. We participate in everything from art to science, language to manual labor. Yes, variety is the spice of life. Learning about our home state with maps and reports occupies these members of the Highways and Biways Club. Faces Siam' ew mdilions For Many Of Us Jr. Science Club proves to be handy with chemicals, animals and scientific tests. A new field is opened to the girls through eighth hour activity period. Learning how to handle a hammer and saw is their goal. l29l
