Board of Education erves Choo! ommunit Abore: BOABD OF EDUCATION. This picture was taken during a dinner in the school cafe- teria preceding the regular monthly meeting of the Board in January. Reading clockwise around the table, they are: Mrs. Ruth Hathorne, Milton J. Nantz, Marshall McDonough, Clarence W. Diver, Board Attorney, George Drysdale, Oscar Lanphar, Board Secretary and High School Busi- ness Manager, Nelson Duncan. Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, Franklin V. Lehn, Principal, Morris Blumbcrg, Robert L. jones, C. E. Prichard. Superintendent, Mrs. Fredrica Smith, and V. Joseph Hultman, Board President. Not in the picture are Nicholas Conteas and Joseph Levandusky. EN citizens interested in the secondary education of the community comprise the High School Board of Education. The Board members. including the president, are elected for three-year terms by the voters of the Township. The organization retains an official Board Attorney who serves as the groupis advisor. The High School Business Manager is also the Board Secretary. The Attorney and Secretary are not voting members. The Board. which is representative of the various professional, business, and lay groups. is one of the most important civic organizations in the community. Board meetings are held the third Monday of each month. Many of the functions of the Board are carried out by the several committees. Education, Finance, and Property. which meet at times other than the regular monthly meetings. At the A Jril, 1951 annual election Robert L. Jones and Mrs. Buth Hathorne were re- I -4 elected to three year terms. Donald Cf. Long was also elected to a three-year term to re- place Mr. Levandusky whose term expired, and who did not seek re-election. Francis E.
