The Warriorettes defeated 4A power Ottumwa by 15 points. Close loss to state champions (Norwalk). The second conference game with Norwalk was close through three quarters before Norwalk pulled away to win by 16 points in the final quarter. Second place in sectional tourney. The Warriorettes played very well in their sectional championship loss to Gilbert. Several school records were established during the 1980-81 season: Highest team field goal percentage in a season (58.5%) Highest individual field goal percentage in a season (Lynne Langel 63.6%) Highest individual field goal percentage in a game (Lynne Langel 21-25, 84%) Highest team free-throw percentage in a game (24-26, 92.3%) Highest individual rebound average in a season (Cristy Reagan 7.9) Most interceptions in a season (Cristy Reagan 106) Most interceptions in a game (Cristy Reagan 13)
