They posted a 5-4 mark after being picked to be 1-8. The season’s highlight was a 27-21 come-from-be-hind win over Johnston in the season finale. We finished in third place in the Raccoon River Conference and ended tournament play as district runners-up. Our junior varsity team won 10 of 11 games. Some highlights of the season included a come-from-behind win over Wayne of Corydon at Vets Auditorium and sectional tournament wins over Dallas Center, Earlham, and Adel-DeSoto. In the Earlham game, we made 46 of 54 field goal attempts for 85% and 105 points. The win over Adel-DeSoto at Adel marked our first sectional championship under Coach Bullock and the first Waukee girls basketball win over Adel-DeSoto in approximately 25 years. Honors received by the Warriorettes were: Susan Stanley—Unanimous First Team All-Conference, E.
