18 CCom, PmpAecty John Woodward After graduating from Waukee Consolidated School in 1953, he decided to Become a deep-sea diver in the South Seas. One day while diving he came face to face with Minnie the Mermaid. He was so astounded by her ravishing beauty that they were married and lived in a sea weed bungalow at the bottom of the sea. John's fatal day came when he was stabbed by a sword fish. Betty Spencer Betty started her career as a Mexican jumping bean grower. One day while loading jumping beans one exploded in her face and no one has seen Betty since. Bernadine Rossi Bernadine made her debut in life as a spaghetti slurper. One day while slurping at the Slimy Spoon one of the pieces of spaghetti hardened in her throat and choked her to death. Charles Dulinr Chuck became a donut hole specialist. He tried to discover many different uses for donut holes. After trying unsuccessfully for many years to find their uses, he cont.-cted hole-itis, a rare disease caused by donut holes. He died a poverty stricken man in a donut factory. Harry Dullard After being an ardent admirer of Johnny Ray for many years, Harry decided to follow in his footsteps. After several years of tearing his hair out, he decided to cry awhile. One day he cried so hard the tears piled up around him and he began to float away. No one has seen him since. Harriet Woods Harriet decided to become a professional baseball player. She played for the Sliding Shorties. She was a tig success until she fell in love with the pitcher. They decided to marry and raise their own baseball team. They did so and their family won the world penant in 1998. One day Harriet's husband went batty and hit her over the head with a baseball bat and killer her. Marilyn Crees Marilyn decided to become an opera singer. She had a hard climb to the top, but she finally made it. One day just as she started to hit a high note she saw a mouse and she screamed and her voice froze. She couldn't open or close her mouth and she finally starved to death. Harriet Snyder Harriet bought a restaurant, The Bro m Derby , in Hollywood. She became famous for her sauerkraut ala mode. Her business went bankrupt when there was a terrible drought and no cabbage grew and she couldn ‘t serve her speciality. She died a poverty-stricken old maid in a cabbage patch. Rose Penick and Jane Grove Rose and Jane decided to become partners in a window washing business. They were employed by the Empire State building and one day when they were twenty floors up they looked in the window and saw one man shoot another and they were so astonished they fell over backward to the ground and were killed instantly. Mary Ann Manders Mary Ann, being a world authority on saying dahling decided to take Tallulah Bankhead's place. While on a friendship tour through Russia, she called Georgi Malenkov dahling and the secret police thought she said bombing so she was taken in as a spy and executed. Jack Hanlon Jack decided to become a glass blower. He blew and blew, as usual, and became famous. One day, however, he made a mistskeand inhaled and you can now see Jack Hanlon on exhibition at John Hopkins Science University as a human test tube. (Con't. on page 82)

Bernad'ne Rossi wills her job of Business Manager of the Annual to Myrna Horn provided Myrna gets as mixed up as Bernadine dbes. Jack Hanlon leaves his job of chauffeuring Marie to school affairs to Dale Martin, provided he takes her straight hone. Ronnie Dorrell leaves his loosely hinged right car door to Floyd Faber, so that Floyd's date can sit as close to him as Joyce does to Ronnie, and have a good excuse. Donnie Finchem leaves his loving ability to Larry Aldrich, provided Larry spreads it around like Donnie does. Bob Steffen leaves his ornriness to Mac Olson provided he can get in and out of scrapes as easily as Bob con. Bill Waugh leaves his talking ability to Kay Cross provided she knows what she's talking about. Jane Grove leaves her alibi of car trouble or flat tires to Jean Klingaman, so Jean will have an excuse for staying out late. Luanna Williams leaves her knack of telling stories to Eartara Van Deventer, provided Barbara gets as big a tang out of them as Pud does. Marilyn Crees leaves her trust in.Jack's faithfulness to Dolores Applegate, so Dolores won't have to worry about John. Harriet Woods leaves her yearn for a sailor to Olga Ori, provided Olga can find the right sailor. Betty Spencer and Rose Ponick leave the right technique with the Adel toys to Leota Green and maybe give her a push in the direction of a certain special Adel boy. Keith Boone wills his curly hair to John Hall, provided John has Dolores pin it up evert night. Mary Ann Manders leaves her weekends trips to Shirley Allen provided she goes as often and has as much as Mary Ann does. John Woodward leaves his ability to nlay Cupid to Dick Nesselroad provided Dick does as good a job as John did. Harry Dullard leaves his Physic notebook to Rex Smith providing Rex spends as much time on it as Harry does. Nancy Leonard wills her day-dreams to Gale Martin provided he thinks only of her. Harold Alborn leaves his appreciation of fine cars to Frances Nizzi provided Frances buys a Nash and not a green Chevy. (Cont. on page +5)
