I in K, A Dear Seniors: It has been said that humility in the face of criticism is sensible as is pride in excellen- ces attained. lt is a sobering experience to reflect on the past four years and to assess the degree to which your capabilities have been utilized. We sincerely hope that pride in ex- cellence may be the criterion which guides you in all future endeavors and that your devo- tion to the high principles to which you have been exposed will bring to fruition your most cherished ambitions and aspirations. Sincerely , if R. E. Turley Supervising Principal 8 -NK Ni- x...f M- Dear Seniors: Education can be like modern super highways orlike muddy roads full of chuck-holes. These high- ways and backroads will lead you into life's avenues of successes and failures. As you travel the road of success and failure, you will have been affected by the many guideposts and warnings along the way. Fundamentally included is the guidepost which directed you toward a Christian way of life. The Christian attitude must be continually reflected in love for your fellowman and forgiveness of his shortcomings. You should be dedicated to worthy causes and aims blending these with honesty, integrity, and loyalty of action. And as often as you can, be of service to others. The road of life can be very happy for it includes productive marriages, satisfying occupations, and abundant material thingsg but the most rewarding benefit of life is the love and appreciation you receive from others. The road oflife can be very sad for it too includes marriage failures, loss of em- ployment, sickness to loved ones and self, and loneliness resulting from death. Whatever road you travel. travel it with wisdom and discretion. Continue your acquisition of knowledge and may the learnings you received at the Wattsburg Area High School help light your way, Congratulations to you on this very momentous occasion. Yours sincerely. I George lvlaines, Principal 9 .0 'ie at MRS, MILDRED AXTELL Physical Education Department Arnold MR. NORMAN CARLIN MR.
