. 7 During the Middle Ages, the lord as the controller ot business, granted the land to its owners. It was his duty to intervene between the monarchs and the lower classes. The lord exercised control of the manor in issuing orders to the squires, advising pages, arranging entertainment by providing jesters, and minstrels. As the lord, so the faculty has the responsibility of helping the students. They intervene between the students and administration, guide their charges along the proper channels, advise and direct.
