In this department students are taught the fundamentals of woodwork, me- chanical drawing, metal work, and auto mechanics. The importance of such training to these students is great. Not only does it provide a practical knowl- edge of value in their daily lives no matter What their vocation may be, but it also gives to some the beginning skill for entry into one of these skilled trades. O I I C u C O n The Physical Education Department this year was under the guidance of Coach Howard Burdick and his assistants, Carl Hoberg and Ronald Staley. Football, basketball, baseball and track Were presented in the competitive sports line. Students also learned archery, boxing, physical fitness, and badminton. 0 The Music Department under the direction of Tommy Starks has provided ex- cellent entertainment this year. The choral section led by Miss Breen and the band led by Tommy Starks have collaborated to provide us with outstanding assembly programs. Top left: Mr. Starks and the band work up a new number.
