Languages In a world in which the old boun- daries ot space cmd time are be- coming increasingly meaningless, the importance of a knowledge of languages becomes plainly ap- parent. One of the great stumbling blocks to international under- standing is the inability ot great groups of people to know clearly what a foreign group is thinking and saying. The contribution which this department makes to a more ordered world is its offering of French, Spanish, and Latin. A sign ot the interest of our students in language is the large number of students enrolled in the courses.
