Languages In a world in which the old boun- daries ot space cmd time are be- coming increasingly meaningless, the importance of a knowledge of languages becomes plainly ap- parent. One of the great stumbling blocks to international under- standing is the inability ot great groups of people to know clearly what a foreign group is thinking and saying. The contribution which this department makes to a more ordered world is its offering of French, Spanish, and Latin. A sign ot the interest of our students in language is the large number of students enrolled in the courses. TOP, Left to right: Mr. Sanchez, Miss Dickson, and Miss Blizzard discuss de- partment plans for the languages. CENTER: Board work in Spanish tor Iohn Hopkins, Ted Parsons, and others as Mr. Sanchez makes a suggestion. BOTTOM: Miss Blizzard's third period class deep in the heart of a quiz.
