This organization has grown to be one of the main factors in school life. one of its leading activities. Membership in the chapter has steadily increased, the last semester of the school year showing an enrollment of 55 members. This is by far the largest in the history of the chapter. and as many of the members are underclassmen, prospects for the society in 1931 are bright. Activities of the chapter were many and varied throughout the year. A book sale was held for the purpose of buying a new honor scroll for the mem- bers who graduate with the gold seal on their diplomas. This was successful. and a large sum was realized. A banquet and joint meeting was held with the Santa Cruz Chapter at the Hotel Palomar in Santa Cruz. and the affair was so enjoyable that it is planned by the two chapters to make itwan annual event. The annual convention was held this year at Modesto. Those attending from Watsonville pronounced it the best ever. At this convention. as well as hearing Modesto's famous band. the delegates became acquainted with Honor Students from many other schools and with their ways of living up to the motto.
