About two hundred and forty-seven in number, they are already showing their interest in outside activities as well as in their regular subjects, in outside subjects such as athletics. band, and Glee Club. There are eight freshmen in Band lf Jeanette Eckel, Bruce Rider, Una Hardy. Eleanor Foster, Sydney Hardy, Yoshiye Takata, Clifford Reed. SOPI-IOMORES Then too we always have plenty of music since many of us are proteges of Mr. Carlyon in band and orchestra. There surely would be a hole in the band if the Sophs would take a notion to drop out. While many of the musical minded ones blow cornets, trumpets. and flutes. some try their best to sing. and think it would be fine to become famous prima donnas. Speaking of prima donnas we really have one. who is none other than Kitty Wasson. She proved so good in Glee Club that she simply had to be chosen for one of the leading parts in the operetta. Now we come to the bright side of the matter. About one-third of the Honor Society are Sophomores who positively shine in high scholarship. Some of these have belonged ever since they started High School and are well on their way to have a gold seal on their diplomas. At last after we have flown from one thing to another it is just about time for us to land: for in a short time we will be taking off in a new plane.
