Graduation hit the Huskies right down the middle. The seniors Leech McCor- mick, and Wertman. were the center and power of the batting order and also formed the nucleus of our defensive pattern. Leech was the mainstay of the pitching staff, and turned in a brilliant record. Wertman was the number one relief pitcher and with McCormick, the shortstop, formed an unbeatable keystone combination. Mr. Hontz will have a hard time replacing these seniors, but the remaining members of the squad. who contributed excellent support, will clo their best to uphold Watsontowns baseball reputation in the coming year.
