The National Honor Society helps to promote leadership and scholastic ability among students . To become eligible a junior must have a GPA of 3.25 and a senior a GPA of 3 .0. The faculty vote on the new members to be inducted in the spring. NHS and Stu- dent Council co-sponsor a picnic in the spring. Another honorary society is Quill and Scroll. . Fellow students vote on people they think have done outstanding work on either the annual or school paper. Initiation is held in the spring. Parents of both new and old members are invited. The main pro- ject for the year is the Homecoming Breakfast. Several newly elected Nl-IS members go over some items of importance with Bill Stahler.
