Duncan Stone, Third row: Gary Avignon, Kendall King, TJ. Henderson, Mark Morgan The 1976 Tornado team finished with a record of six wins, no losses, and one tie. At Central Big 8 the mixed doubles team of Lee Ann Liberto and jeff Davis won. Alice Christian lost in the finals in girls singles while Kelly Tyrone and Dawn Blackledge also lost in girl's doubles finals. At district, Laurel had four out of five quality for state competition. ln girls singles, Alice Christian took 110 Sports a District 5 win while Lee Ann Liberto and Duncan Stone were winners in mixed doubles. Dawn Black- ledge and Kelly Tyrone qualified by reaching the finals in girls doubles. Gary Avignon and Mark Whitt reached the finals in boys doubles. At state, Alice Christian was defeated in quarter finals as were Mark Whitt and Gary Avignon. ln the semi-finals, Duncan Stone and Lee Ann Liberto lost. .ww 9-, .,e 5 Q
