Ah While the circle of an-1 other year, 1974-75, started in September and lasted through May, hopefully it will not stop there. So much of life seems to be a circle .. . hustle and bustle . . . none of us able to remember the beginning or capable of seeing the end. But this is our chance to live for today-the opportu- nity to leam from those be- fore us-and possibly leave something to be passed down for those who follow us. 4 1 T' 0 s 'M 'Jai A hw 9' 191 We shoulchft remember 74-75 as 'jr it just another year , but instead look at .Tr S. it as a very special year-in many ways fi N r 4 s l X '55 ,fx X mi, , S, 'Q gg- f - are ,. . QV The interests and talents found within the walls of Laurel High School are many. Though the building is an ,integral part of the school, it is the people found within ,that really make Watkins shine', in so many ways . . . Times passes quickly. Then suddenly there is the realization that all that is left of the good times fwhich always out-weighed the hadl is a photograph . . . a memory. But half the fun of memories is shar- ing them with others, so that they might be relived once more. 12 x X-fs J I mn H. fw . ,NK 4 W Wfw,-a Km Aa ff Ilmhli J 5' 1 w, ,fx ,MX J Nr' 3 16 W ,, UIQIJ LH! 1.-.. I watch the faces of people I know or have known I sec them change turning their eyes to different sights and different horizons. And somehow I feel that I too have changed perhaps grown older or maybe just taller. And I wonder as the years may pass will the faces fade as they are threatening to now or when I move down thc road as far as my mind and will may take me could the faces stay to haunt me in happy corners I have learned to be a con when it comes to grades and a prophet when it comes to sorrow. I have learned of people and their ways what makes them smile and why they cxyg And I see some trying to be kings and even one trying to he himself and not knowing how. School is ending now and I have learned and I have learned. fr Q A v FN 4 I, fm? 33, 47 N 9 A .Vw 'ff Z ' Yi 155 , ' V I . A V , M VV 1 Q X:. V 11 5.4 vw W 1 6 , 5? During the late Dr. Allan McClures many years as a dedicated educator, he did not just come in contact with a countless number of people-hc touched their lives with a lasting influence. Among his ac- complishments at R.H. WVatkins High Dr. McClure inaugurated the an- nual spring musical. He also supported new aspects of education such as Independent Study. Through his never ending energy, work and ac- complishments, Dr. McClure helped many people find their place. Most importantly, though, he helped them to find themselves. A very high respect for Dr. McClure will always be held in the hearts of those who knew him. Thus, memories of this man will be within us, allowing him never to be forgotten. To this beloved man we dedicate this, our 1975 Tornado annual. ,f- W5 V+ 1 a l J I u
