Front Row: Laurie Beaver. Jeff Peak, Marla Pearsall: Row 2: Donald Mason, Anita Fragola, Megan Schimizzi, Emily Kramer; Row 3: Patty Koch, Mrs. Loughlin, Dawn Ney. Miss Smith. David Post Lights! Camera! Action! The reels turn, the camera clicks, the action is constant, as our years in high school progress. Neverending, we thought. Four years of studies, fun, new friends, will last forever. Suddenly, we hear “cut”. The film ends, the years are over, graduation is here. Movies can take us back into history. They can recreate the lives of great men and women, just as our yearbook can recreate our lives in high school. The yearbook staff, made up of a few dedicated students, have literally seen the bright lights, felt the urgency of the camera, touched the action, and heard the cut at deadline time. Many nights and weekends were given up as the cameras rolled and the action continued. It is with this theme in mind that we proudly present to all our 1984 yearbook. Yearbook Opening 3

. . .in 1952 “A teacher affects eternity. He can never tell where his influence stops.—Henry Adams By using the camera in different ways, the filmmaker can express different points of view. So it is with Mr. Frank Steber. As he uses his knowledge and techniques in different ways, he can express to us many different points of view. Through the years, 34 in all, Mr. Steber has helped the lives of countless students. He came to Watkins Glen in 1955. He stayed with the district through all 29 years, and even taught some of our current faculty. He has been active in the senior play for numerous years, headed the Seneca Literary Society, and is head of the English Department. But with all these extra activities, Mr. Steber has still kept the interest and mind of the student first. It is with great pride that we, the class of 1984, dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Frank Steber. 4 Dedication
