John Strong has now graduated as head chef at the Jefferson Hotel. Previously he had owned Curly’s Hot Dog Stand but found he made more money as a chef. Sitting in a corner in a group are Barbara Richardson LaPre, Rita Landry Mathers, Maxine Owens Cunningham, Suzanne White Morris, Jeanette Strong Fazzary—sipping cokes. Barb is now treasurer ,,f the P.T.A. and Susie, secretary of the P.T.A. Rita is a commercial artist to help support her 14 little artists, and Maxine is teaching an adult course in domestic science. Jeanette is busy with her 10 children. Standing in front of an elaborate mirror I see Steve Hoare adjusting his bow tie. Steve’s latest production, Deck of Cards”, stars Nancy Horner. Mary Sullivan and Marge Shaffer have just hurriedly come up from the lake. They are part owners of Fraley’s skating rinks. Mike Wiernicki has been unable to attend because three years ago he designed and tested his own rocket to Mars and hasn’t been heard from since. Tyler Schouten, Dick Cleveland, Don Brubaker, Ron Williams and Norm Wisner are touring the world, in Norm’s big red bus, and are also unable to attend. Mary O'Grady, who has a short-wave radio set, is keeping in contact with them and informing us of their whereabouts. Barb Buck tells us of her experience owning a clothing store for which she designs and sells her own creations—which Beckie Cook and Mary Lou Caldwell are modeling in their spare time. Art VanDyke and Benny Vedder are playing football for the Los Angeles Rams. Fran Fazzary and Rita Bartone are co-owners of the Suave Beauty Salon. George Berry and George Hoagland are big game hunters in Africa. Tom Healy is head of their safari. After being such a successful plumber in our Senior Play, Ed Voorheis is now working, busily fixing pipes. Kris Ector just roared up to the door on his scooter. He has been racing his scooter in the Grand Prix for the past ten years, and he’s won for five years. Joan Wilcox and Hope Vedder now own a taxi stand, for men exclusively. Jerry Smyder also has a taxi, but he has one route, Rock Stream. Dave Fraboni is now managing the New York Knickerbockers, with Jack Pastore as their star player. Rhea Angelo is living in Binghamton, where she manages a construction crew. Carole Nittoly and Virginia Dobson are now full-time secretaries for a big firm in N.Y.C. Elissa McAnarney is now head doctor at Schuyler Hospital, with Judy Haughey as her assistant nurse. Rosalie Swisher is very successful on stage and T.V. doing impersonations of Tallulah Bankhead. Tom Jaynes is just coming in the door from Alaska with his Eskimo wife. Alice Garey, our first woman president, is unable to make our reunion—she has been on a caravan to Egypt. In his private plane, Art Barnum has been flying Isabel Wolcott coast to coast in her singing career. Linda Fitch is his able stewardess. Don and Jim Clark, who have made the Navy their career, are now captains of different ships, cruising the world. Joan Palmer is very engrossed in the paintings that are hanging on the walls . . . she has several paintings hanging in the Smithsonian Art Gallery. Carlton Fenton has been entertaining us with music. He graduated with top honors from Fredonia and now is dean of the school. John Jamison has started a cigarette factory with all the cigarettes returned to him from his high school buddies. Bruce Ward owns a very successful Volkswagen garage, and has Sandy Tunnicliff as secretary, keeping the business in order. After all these years, Doug Bond has finally decided to stop giving Freda Lott the run around. They are now happily joined in wedlock. Bill Roberts is now a professional wrestler, going by the name of “Pretty Boy Roberts”, with Shirley Usher as his manager. Peggy Tichenor is now assistant gym teacher under Miss Hausenbauer. Kay Love is still seen zooming around in the Pontiac from Montour. Annette Nandlestadt was a little late—John couldn’t get their old black convertible started. As we end the inspection of our annual reunion, I see Bonnie Arnold and Carolyn Bush looking over old history books. They are now teaching history classes in Burdett. This has been a wonderful reunion and I’m sure we all appreciate the work that was done by the owner to make our get together successful. 19 HERE'S OUR KINDERGARTEN PICTURE — WE ARE: Front Row: Miss Abbott, R.
