The purpose of the club is to cultivate an active interest in the language and culture of the French people. Monthly meetings and field trips offer an opportunity for social as well as intellectual develop- ment. Le Gircle Francais is com- posed of the members of the second year French class. In the regular meetings of the club, programs in the ap- preciation of French art and civilization are enjoyed. Pro- ficiency in French conversation is the goal of the club. Field trips and social events provide varied opportunities for learn- ing to think and speak in French.
