Af QAQIDQQRD Q67 200 The knight on his horse may seem to symbolize an age gone by. In the Middle Ages the knight embodied the ideals of chivalry: bravery, generosity, charity. His life was directed by his quest for the Holy Grail. Although we no longer put much stress on chivalry or the ideal man, the knight can still represents every per- son, for all of our lives are directed toward goals. We Seniors consider that the years We have spent at WHS have helped us to better define our goals and to begin achieving them. Our quest for the full meaning of our humanity must, of course, continue through person- al development and service to the family of man. 3 Dedication Mrs. Mary F. Vartigian 4 DEDICATION We all strive for and attain many goals in our lives. We all want to be something, somebody. But one goal achieved, we must move on to something else. Man can never, should never, be satisfied. The mark of a truly human life is the constancy of the quest. Mrs. Vartigian has dedicated her life to learning and to the most gratifying off-spring of learning, teaching. She has given many years of her life, not only to her own quest for knowledge of man and his community, but also, to directing many young people in their search for that knowledge. Mrs. Vartigian's quest could never end, for to learn is to want to continue learning. Her quest can never end, for she has trained many students to keep searching and some of these, too, will train others in the quest of knowledge. In grateful thanks for passing to us, the Seniors of WHS, the quest for knowledge of our own humanity, we dedicate this year- book to Mrs. Vartigian. 5 Administration ADMINISTRATION The Superintendent and the Board of Education have a plurality of goals: excellence of educational programs, the welfare of both pupils and staff, and long range plan- ning for an educational plant. u 6 1 Board of Education: I. Friendship was his aim, Achieved, he did this Well For he brought laughter and happiness Of this his friends shall tell. Yes, to all who knew him well He leaves a certain memory Of love, true friendship, at its best- To be carried through eternity. Though he will not be here To share our lives and thoughts, This memory of our dear Peter- Shall live within our hearts. 136 Peter Kramarchyk F acult Director MISS ELIZABETH R. HANRAHAN Principal MR.
