The W.H.S. Red Raiders did not fare so well on opposing teams' courts this season, compiling a record of one win and seven losses to date. Victory Field was unavaila- ble due to reconstruction, practice had to be held on weekday morn- ings before school in Newton. The team is coached by Mr. Sol- itto. The I975 softball sea- son was a difficult one for the team. The girls received a new coach this year, and they put a lot of team work and effort into learning new techniques of the game. The senior members, Maureen Ryan, Debbie Savarese, and Debbie Titchen will be missed greatly next year. Mau- reen, a varsity player for three years, was out- standing this season. The W.H.S. golf team, under Coach McNicholas, had a respectable season, though they lacked experienced players. This year's team was largely made up of underclassmen, with the exceptions of Dave Herlihy and Marty Nahigian. Both Dave and Marty were cited for their outstanding golfing at this year's awards assembly.
