The I975 softball sea- son was a difficult one for the team. The girls received a new coach this year, and they put a lot of team work and effort into learning new techniques of the game. The senior members, Maureen Ryan, Debbie Savarese, and Debbie Titchen will be missed greatly next year. Mau- reen, a varsity player for three years, was out- standing this season. The W.H.S. Red Raiders did not fare so well on opposing teams' courts this season, compiling a record of one win and seven losses to date. Victory Field was unavaila- ble due to reconstruction, practice had to be held on weekday morn- ings before school in Newton. The team is coached by Mr. Sol- itto.
