This year the club held its annual Yietory Dance which was, as usual, a large success. This year's program was varied in that it offered several splash parties and combined meetings with the Tri-Hi. In November the club sent several delegates to the National Youth Fonferenee at Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Many interesting speakers volunteered their services making this conference of much value to the boys. The year was concluded with a spring dance called the Stag Struggle. Ajanlian The Glee Club of approximately eighty voices held rehearsals during the club period on Friday mornings in the Auditorium. Nlr. Nlayo has increased the number of boys in the group over the past several years. The club also sang at various assemblies in the school. A special feature of this year's activities was the caroling in the corridors at Christmas time. Among the numbers in the club's repertoire were: The Lord is Bly Shepherd by Schubert, Hlilareh of the Toys by Herbert, and a special arrangement of the Battle Hymn of the Republic by Wiilkousky. Castellano, R. Forte, F. Donato Founded this year by Blr. Yacca, the Italian C'lub got off to a quick start by arranging for a theatre party in Boston followed by luncheon at an Italian restaurant. Sound films, kodaehrome colored slides from Boston museums, phonograph records, vocabulary contests, spelling bees, a Christmas party, lectures by outside speakers, trips to centers of interest appealing to persons of Italian extraction, discussion and formulation of club policies have been some of the activities indulged in with gusto by one and all. The purpose of the organization has been to foster an appreciation of Italian contributions to world civilization. Along with interest in Italian culture, membership in this club is granted to those with good grades and good citizenship.
