MRS. JAMES M. HEALY 1943-1946 MRS. RAYMOND FORD 1932-1945 Miss Rose Y. Hughes, algebra teacher in the Mathematics Department and formerly teacher of commercial geography in the Social Studies Department, left Watertown High in November of 1945. She was graduated from Boston 1'niversity and earned her llaster's degree there. Before coming to 1Yatertown in 1932, she had taught in the Bigelow Junior High School in Newton. On February 21, 1946, Miss Hughes was married to Mr. Raymond Ford, also of the NY. H. S. faculty, and now resides in Newton. Her service was noted for her wise understanding of educational problems, for her generous sympathy, and for her professional zeal. Her high ideals and her sincere interest in her charges, will always live in our hearts. Un Nlareh Q, 1946, the promise of Miss Nlnriel Tierney's sparkling diamond ring was fulfilled as she bade farewell to 1Yatertown High to become the bride of Captain James Healy, l'.S.A., recently returned from the Pacific. She now makes her home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Healy was graduated from Boston l'niversity with an AB. degree and took up teaching duties in Portland High School, Port- land, C'onneetieut. ln 1943 she came to 1Yater- town as a military substitute in the clUlIllll0l'ClHl Department. During her brief stay at NY. H. S. her warm friendship, sterling character, and able leadership won the respect and admiration of student body and faculty alike. To Mrs. Healy we offer our sincere wishes for happiness and good fortune in her new career.
